We’ll be heading to Wales this May for the IHEEM Wales Regional Conference, Exhibition and Awards Dinner 2025. This will be our first time exhibiting at the highly anticipated event being held at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in the city of Newport.
What is the IHEEM Wales Regional Conference?
IHEEM have partnered with their Welsh Branch, NHS Wales, Shared Services Partnership, and Specialist Estate Services to deliver the annual Wales Regional Conference, Exhibition, and Gala Awards Dinner. This year’s theme is ‘Pioneering Estates for Tomorrow’, and the programme looks to address the following challenges:
- The issues around achieving Net Zero in Wales
- Involving estates in the design and build processes
- Hydrogen fuel technology and energy sources
- The NHS Net Zero procurement and how it is planned to work
- Sustainability and the future of NHS estates
- Challenges in transitioning to an electric vehicle fleet, the need for adequate charging infrastructure, and ensuring operational demands

- Managing lift portfolios and maintenance contracts
For healthcare estates in particular, we can assist with compliance to HTM08-02 by undertaking the role of Authorising Engineer (AE) for lifts, as well as offering condition/life cycle surveys to clients ahead of any ‘hand back’ of PFI/PPP properties.
If you’re attending, learn more about ILECS and our lift consultancy services by speaking to our representatives at stand number 20. Our Business Development Manager, Dave Marks and Associate Director, Ged Millward, will be in attendance over the two days to answer any questions you may have.
