What does a lift condition survey include (what areas and components are inspected)?

It includes a non-invasive visual inspection of the accessible lift equipment and associated components, typically covering the car, doors, landing entrances, controls, drive system, machine room or motor area, shaft where accessible, safety devices, fixtures, alarms and communications, and general housekeeping. It does not include intrusive investigation, commissioning tests, or statutory examinations such as safety gear testing, load testing, or other performance testing.
