Evolution Karate Academy

The Ipswich based Evolution Karate Academy, sponsored by ILECS has enjoyed a fantastic period over the last 12 months. Not only has the club been competing on a local level, but also on both a national and international level.

The club has attended several competitions in England, including the Central England open Karate championships winning 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. On a national level, the team has won an incredible 49 golds, 33 silvers and 45 bronze medals.

Evolution Karate Academy has also been successful on an international level, competing in Poland and Germany. The team amassed a very impressive 14 medals, consisting of 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. The team will be looking to add to their medal count when they compete in the K1 Istanbul Lion Cup and in Luxembourg.

One of the team’s members, Georgina Lawson has been selected for the world championships being held in Chile. As karate is a self funded sport, ILECS will be donating to Georgina in aid of her journey. To support Georgina on her journey to the world championships, you can donate to her gofundme page here.

The club Sensei, Leonie Kersey says “I just wanted to pass on my thanks to ILECS Lift & Escalator Consultants for their sponsorship over the past years. It has been greatly appreciated and has allowed our athletes to participate in competitions, not only locally and Nationally, but also Internationally.”
