This month, we’re celebrating a decade and a half of impact as Dave Marks, our Business Development Manager, reaches 15 years of service at ILECS.
For those who don’t know Dave, he is very often the first person you’ll speak with when you first make contact with ILECS, whether over the phone, via email or at an exhibition.
Dave joined ILECS as a OneVision Account Manager on the 10th of May 2010, single-handedly taking on the responsibility of managing our OneVision service, which at the time was provided exclusively for one client. This included implementing and overseeing the processes needed for successful lift management. When he joined, ILECS had a team of 12. Fast forward to today, and the ILECS team has grown to 35 members. The same processes Dave implemented 15 years ago are still being loosely followed; however, this is now on a much larger scale, as OneVision manages over 2,500 lifts for a wide variety of clients.
After eight years as an account manager, Dave naturally transitioned to a more sales-oriented role, becoming Business Development Executive. With his extensive knowledge and experience of OneVision, Dave focused his attention on growing the OneVision portfolio by developing existing clients and introducing new ones to the lift management service.
Four years later, the OneVision portfolio had grown significantly, with Dave’s business development efforts contributing to this success. In recognition of his hard work and contributions, Dave was promoted to Business Development Manager, which is his current role in the company.
When asked what he feels most proud of, Dave replied: “I feel proud of the evolution of the OneVision system and contributing to its development. We worked on this for a couple of years with key stakeholders to ensure it’s a bespoke system that delivers a gold standard service to clients and enables efficient processes for the ILECS team.”
Reflecting on his time at ILECS, Dave had this to say, I’ve always found working at ILECS very positive, engaging and challenging. There’s always a new challenge to get stuck into, and I’m proud to have played my part in growing ILECS. It’s a great place to work as ILECS are very supportive of its employees, offers great benefits and has a family feel, which makes working here enjoyable. I look forward to the next 15 years!
