Navigate HTM08-02 with ILECS as your Authorising Engineer (Lifts)

ILECS lift consultants are suitably qualified, experienced and competent to undertake the role of Authorising Engineer (Lifts) and act as independent professional advisors to healthcare organisations across the UK.

Upon appointing ILECS as your Authorising Engineer (Lifts), we will conduct an initial assessment of the Authorised Person (Lifts) to evaluate their competence in fulfilling the role. This assessment enables us to provide a recommendation to the Designated Person (Lifts) for the appointment of the Authorised Person (Lifts) through a formal letter of nomination.

On an annual basis, we will monitor the performance of the Trust’s Authorised Person (Lifts) and management system to ensure they satisfy the duty holder’s role and then issue a professional report to the Designated Person (Lifts).

We also offer to conduct an independent maintenance audit of each lift in accordance with HTM08-02. We will discuss any recommendations in our audit reports with the Authorised Person to ensure that an action plan is created to address any necessary remedial work.
