What testing is required before a new lift is handed back into service?

Expect commissioning, functional and safety testing, door operation and safety edge tests, levelling and ride quality checks, alarm and communication tests, and any specified witness tests. An initial thorough examination before first use may be required, along with completion of conformity and handover documentation.
