At ILECS, we encourage all our team members to continue their professional development to build valuable skills and progress their careers with us.
We’re pleased to announce that four of our OneVision Account Managers have recently successfully completed courses in Lift Technology. Chris Blowers and Jake Hearn, have passed Stage 2 and completed the Introduction to Lift Technology course. In addition, Helena Tate and Ross Sanderson have passed Stage 1 of the Introduction to Lift Technology course.
Both courses are run by the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA), the trade association and advisory body for the lift and escalator industry. The association offers members the opportunity to complete courses that broaden their knowledge of lift and escalator engineering through distance learning. The syllabus covers a range of essential topics, including but not limited to:
- Engineering principles
- Lift technology
- Electric traction lifts
- Hydraulic lifts
- Codes and Standards
The part time nature of the learning required our team to balance their course workload with their roles at ILECS and their home lives. As evidence of their achievement, our four graduates will receive a Certificate of Unit Achievement issued by LEIA. Following their completion of this module, the team can now go on to study other modules within the LEIA range including Fundamentals of Lift Technology and Advanced Lift Technology modules such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic.
We are proud of all of our team for their continued pursuit of excellence for our clients and for their own development, allowing them to contribute their new skills to ILECS’ services and our OneVision lift portfolio management service.
