In the latest development in the ILECS team, we are thrilled to welcome Neil Merritt as our new Lift Consultant. Neil has over 30 years of experience in the lift industry, having worked as a manager, technician, and tester for projects in his early professional years. He developed a specialism in the refurbishment market and later moved into a consultancy role, managing large university portfolios among other clients.
We spoke to Neil to find out what he looks forward to experiencing in his new role. He said, “There seems to be a good team spirit at ILECS. It is a team of employees rather than just individuals, which is nice. The business is well structured, so you know the expectations set out for each individual, and it is clear that there is support available.”
Neil’s comprehensive knowledge of the refurbishment market, coupled with his experience as an ex-tester, makes him a hugely valuable new member of the ILECS team. When asked why ILECS was the right choice for him, Neil said, “It was clear that ILECS as a business is very invested in the development of its staff, with training courses and qualifications available to employees of all levels. I admired that because not many companies have the same social compass and care for employees in the same way.”
Neil’s extensive hands-on experience in the lift industry makes him a great candidate for mentoring younger staff members at ILECS. His project management experience and people skills allow him to assist junior employees where needed.
