We’re celebrating a very special milestone at ILECS, as one of our longest-serving team members, Jackie Hawken, reaches 20 years with the company.

Jackie joined ILECS on 10 December 2005, at a time when the business was still in its early stages of growth. Over the last two decades, she has become a trusted and much-loved presence in the company, known not only for her professional contributions but also for her warmth, loyalty, and consistency.

A Career Built on Commitment and Adaptability

Jackie’s career at ILECS began with a broad administrative remit, overseeing essential day-to-day operations and playing a central role in helping the business function smoothly. In those early years, her responsibilities spanned everything from answering phones and managing office logistics, to liaising with clients and support consultants with documentation.

As the company evolved, so did Jackie’s role. Her adaptability over the years has been instrumental, seeing her steadily move into a more specialised position, and today she serves as ILECS’ Credit Controller, a role she carries out with precision, expertise, and a deep understanding of the business.

A Familiar Voice to Many

For many customers, clients, and suppliers, Jackie has been the first point of contact with ILECS. Her friendly and professional approach on the phone has left a lasting impression over the years, and in many ways, she has become the voice of ILECS.

Whether fielding queries, providing reassurance, or simply being a helpful presence on the other end of the line, Jackie has exemplified the approachability and expertise that define our values.

Jackie’s 20 year journey is more than a work anniversary, it’s a testament to the power of consistency, integrity, and people-first values. She has played an important part in the ILECS story, supporting the business through periods of change and growth, and helping to maintain the strong internal culture that exists today.

Her knowledge of ILECS processes and systems has made her a go-to person for colleagues across departments. Those who’ve worked with Jackie, past and present, often speak about her willingness to help, her genuine kindness, and being the voice of reason in the workplace.

As one colleague put it, “If you need something done properly, you go to Jackie.”
