ILECS sponsor Manningtree Pride Festival

ILECS is proud to sponsor the first-ever Manningtree Pride Festival on Saturday 24th June 2023, from 12pm - 4pm. The event hosts a range of exciting activities involving LGBTQ+ representatives and other members of the community throughout the day. This event comes as we celebrate Pride Month throughout June. 

An auction will allow attendees to win a piece of art created by one of Manningtree's incredible local artists. The festival has been arranged together with the support of the local community, and ILECS is delighted to play a part. 

Why are we sponsoring this event?

The festival aims to raise awareness, educate and celebrate all individuals without discrimination. At ILECS, we encourage and celebrate diversity in our workforce and strive to contribute towards creating an inclusive community for all. Sponsoring this festival showcases our position on supporting the LGBTQ+ community. 

What's on at the Pride Festival?

Each associated venue will host a range of exciting activities and provide various gifts, food and drink options to purchase throughout the event. Please see the list below and follow the Manningtree Town Instagram for full details about the event:

• Vanguard: Ice cream, cakes and refreshments
• The Stour Store: Books, prints, cards, candles
• Estuary Wine Bar: Sealed-bid auction and live music acts
• Manningtree Arts: Drag story time, create a pride flag, stories and raffle
• The Red Lion: Comedy and drag show, refreshments and pizza
• Masonic Hall: Lectures and light refreshments
• Winyl: Live music
• Fire station: Pride decorated fire engine, piñata, stalls and face painting
• Beach activities: Cricket and netball, boxing demonstration, Manningtree Mermaids
• Tea at the Quay: Books, educational talks and lunch
